Please, please complete your profile on FitnessConnect?
Two of my clients came to me through their out-of-area friends, who found my completed profile through FitnessConnect and made their recommendations. Currently, I’m searching for trainers to recommend to people that are out of my area. If your profile does not display a current personal training certification, and at least a few of your favorite fitness categories, then I have to move on. I would LOVE to be able to refer you!
Hi Gwynn,
I would like to give this post a “Like”. I hate to think, though, that those who did not complete their profile are not very likely to read this post.
But it is a very good reminder, and I myself point people to IDEA FitnessConnect when they are asking me for recommendations for out-of-area personal trainers. I, like you, will not even consider somebody who has an incomplete profile.

It does help if others give you the information to help get referrals. And why have a profile if you aren’t going to finish it. Although I am pretty far from most referral opportunities, you never know.
And any trainers/instructors coming to Hawaii or thinking about a Hawaii vacation, check out my website. You can take some CECs and use it to write off some of your costs. Or just connect and I can show you some of the best places to enjoy on the Big Island.
Great point Gwynn and I agree with you, Karin and Martin. There is nothing more frustrating when I see trainers commenting or asking questions and then their profile is incomplete. Personally I like to know who these trainers are and their qualifications. There is no other site like IDEA (that I know of) where you can connect with so many others in our field. I always search for others in my area because you never know when the need to connect with them will arise.
