Hi! I have just been told by my doc that I have plantar fasciitis due to overuse. I do one class a day ( strength training, mind-body, aerobics n step through the week). I also play tennis thrice a week for recreation.
Any suggestions how to continue the classes while trying to recover? I am doing the necessary stretches, massage n ice as per doc’s orders.
This could prove to be a real boost to your teaching skills. I have taught classes without even a single demo move when injured. Work on your cueing to help you instruct verbally. Being able to demonstrate is helpful, but not necessary.
And you should ask your doctor about deep water exercise for your own fitness. Also about gently moving through all of your ankle ROMs and toe/foot ROMs.
