Personal Training, do you sell packages or individual sessions?
I quote a per session rate to those that ask. But I no longer use a set rate for clients that are looking for more than one session or a few sessions. I speak with the client to find out what they are looking for as far as goals/needs. Part of that is asking how much time and how much money they are comfortable putting into their program. I make a proposal as to how they can achieve their goals. The proposal includes the number of workouts/sessions per week and the cost. Their budget determines how much time we spend together and how much time they need to put in on their own. I determine the cost based on my time (billable hours). The more difficult the clients needs are, the more time I need to put into designing their program. These clients are on a month to month program and billing cycle. Every month their program is evaluated and adjusted to keep them moving toward their goals. And the time and cost are all predetermined on an individual basis. Sometimes the client wants to adjust the arrangement. Sometimes I see the need for some adjustments. Either way, we sit down and go over any thing that comes up.
I know some trainers are not comfortable doing contracts or selling many sessions at once. I do prefer a discount to people committing to eight weeks or 12 weeks. I thought these packages are also priced differently. 1 time a week, twice a week or 3x or more a week get lower prices. I like seeing clients more each week to get better results. Just a thought or idea
