I would look at clean professional appearance, length of time on the job, loyalty, experience, punctuality, attitude, team player, meeting deadlines, and correct programming, to name a few.

Team player – subbing, attending meetings,

Customer service – client retention, helpfulness in general

Certification / CECs or other measures of committment to improvement

Revenue generated for the organization, whether by members joined, growth in class size, product sales, etc.

Hi Charlotte,

that may depend for what position. What Natalie and Nancy mention applies generally to personal training.

Group exercise can be different. I know one organization where all instructors are paid the same regardless of the criteria mentioned above.

Depends of what position..
However, I will say professionalism, time in service, experience, certifications/CECs/and any other education they have done to contribute towards doing their job more effectively.
