I have a loved one with RA. She is young, 29 years old and has been suffering from RA since she was 17. The pain consumes almost every joint in her body. She has flexibility during her workday (it is at home) for her to exercise throughout. What type of exercises and stretches can she do at home to alleviate both pain and stiffness?
I know several people with RA, and it is difficult to watch how debilitating this can be.
I have several people with RA who come regularly to my MELT classes, and the soft roller along with self-directed lengthening has been helpful to most of them (unfortunately not all). Since there are still only few MELT instructors, your loved one may not be near one of us but there is now a book out called ‘The MELT Method’ (it’s on Amazon), and I would strongly suggest to check that out.
