Opinions please on the “best” or most reputable spin certification program
Natalie’s suggestion is great. The IDEA site lists all of the major spin/cycle certs that I know of and has reviews. I would like to ask. How much spin/indoor cycling have you done? I always recommend students get lots of experience in exercise class forms they are interested in teaching. Taking classes from as many instructors as you can find in your area (and even going to spin classes on vacation) is brilliant. I am not ashamed to say that I have “appropriated” many great teaching ideas, cues, sequencing, and even music from other instructors classes. And I openly invite other instructors to come to my classes. And I also recommend learning about cycle training in general. Using periodization methods for cycling in spin classess and treating spin classes like event training and even creating “events” for your class is a great way to improve fitness and motivate participants. As always, please feel free to contact me through my profile if you would ever like to discuss all things fitness in the future.
