In researching competitors and fitness and nutrition software for my personal training business, I am noticing more online personal training solutions both in terms of competition and software offerings. So I am naturally curious, are personal trainers are doing more work with their clients online versus in person these days?
I really appreciate all the feedback and answers on this question. I see it isn’t just a matter of the method of delivery. At first I was thinking online personal training as some super fancy website with self assessment tests, assessment results tracking, BMI, BMR, activity, food, weight, body fat trackers with a personal trainer working behind the scenes writing up individualized workout and meal plans for the do it yourself fitness crowd. I see now it can be an alternative delivery method of personal training with an established client who has learned good form from prior in person sessions. I couldn’t tell if the industry was trending towards the fancy website option with trainers working with data instead of people or if it is still very much an in person and hands one practice. Thank you so much for your comments!
