necessary Equipments For Indoor & Group fitness Boot Camp?
I use what I have available. For my own classes now, I pick up new pieces as time passes. There are some things that are naturally at the site, so I improvise with those things as well.
What I mean is, use what you have and use your imagination to figure out how to accomplish what you want. Test any ideas before you use them in a class.
Most of my equipment is portable for indoor and outdoor use.
My favorite equipment that’s relatively budget friendly is the fabric covered tubing from Twist. The 8 foot bands are useful for training one on one, small-group, partners, trios, group-ex. They can be attached at one location and pulled from one end, looped, held by two people, etc.
This is what I’m talking about.
I always use medicine balls, they are easy to transport and very versatile for Indoor and Out
For outside workouts:
I tend to like using “nature” as my bootcamp when possible and move through space functionally as much as I can.
Hills, stairs, trees, curbs, benches, trails, are all great
You really don’t need anything if you can incorporate body weight training with cardio
the most important equipment is a first aid kit!
Also, don’t forget about to use the natural resources of the area where you’ll be training. I’ve used a track, hill, stairs, lines in a parking lot, benches, playground equipment, etc. Then remember to factor in how you’ll carry what you need from your car to the area where the class will be held. I like to use a rolling suitcase, mesh bags for balls, milk crates for paperwork stuff, a whiteboard to write the workout, etc.
Good luck to you,
Jocelyn
Nitin,
Being primarily a mobile business, I tend to use the equipment that travels easily. This may be useful if you’re also a contracted instructor.
I use sandbells and sandbags, as they substitute for a lot of different equipment. Resistance tubes, loop bands, suspension straps, and a couple of heavy kettlebells along with body weight training will give you endless options. Also specialized equipment like cones, hurdles, ladders, sleds, and parachutes are great for athletes or more athletic populations.,
But as others have said, it depends on your participants, but don’t forget the paperwork or administrative/office supplies.
