Just another opinion based question from anyone with advice to give 🙂 – I am looking into the NASM MMA Conditioning Coach Certification & was just wondering if anyone is certified or in the process and what your oppinions are! I have seen one through NESTA as well. I myself have trained at an MMA gym and loved it! I would love to bring it to my clients.
Again any and all advice is always appreciated! Thank you!
I saw the NASM MMA cert video & wasn’t impressed. I currently have the IHP MMA CSCC cert through Juan Carlos Santana which was well well worth the money. It had a lot of hands on teaching/workouts and we got to meet/talk with current UFC fighters. I’d consider the NASM MMA cert solely based on NASM’s great reputation and credibility in the industry. Plus wouldn’t hurt to get another MMA cert.
I just completed this course for CEUs and do not recommend it. It’s the exact opposite of the course John Goldsmith is describing. There was basically no discussion of the actual workouts, or how to design/customize the program. Some sample workouts were shoved into an appendix. The course content was a mix of an advertisement for the program and rehashing a Group Ex program content. I do not feel equipped to run an MMA conditioning program.
