Hi Jill,

unfortunately, there is no spot reduction even though it is always a good idea to strengthen the muscles of the hip as seems to be necessary after an assessment.

Those ‘saddlebags’ are adipose tissue (aka fat), and I would steer my clients to the cardiovascular exercise of their liking.

I wished it was different ……

I agree with Karin, to make a change the secret is diet and exercise.

Genes my also play a role on the location of fat deposits.

You asked for exercises on the reformer – jump board to burn calories. Good luck.

Or Hips?
I agree with Karin and Heike

I would suggest dietary changes and a total switch up of exercises. Remember muscles have memory and will adapt quickly, once they do they get “lazy” so continue to implement new workouts that are high calorie burning and are higher in intensity than what your clients are used to.

/Agree with above posts.

No spot reduction, no toning, no cutting, etc.

Best way to deal with excess fat is healthy habits. Eating well as well as staying active will melt it all away. Just have to be smart about the portions and programs.

+1 to healthy (and calorie controlled!) eating. Only way to lose fat from any body part is to consume less than you use creating a calorie deficit.
