Music in training
There is so much music out there that I love, that it varies literally from workout to workout! Generally, something upbeat like the soundtrack to Slum Dog Millionaire or something like that. But also, depending on my mood and what it is that I’m working on (e.g. power or other high-intensity workout versus cardio or a “steady-state” lower intensity workout) I may listen to some easy listening like New Age.

Personally, I go through spells of listening to music and not listening to music. Currently, I have the Pandora App on my iPhone and tune into the customized station of my choice whenever I go out for a run or workout. Right now it’s ‘Beats Antique’ radio.
As far as music for my clients, I agree with the other postings…. listen to whatever the clients enjoys most. I still suggest using Pandora, just pop your iPhone into those little portable speakers and set it on a station that they enjoy.
I don’t often listen to music while working out but I am today. Its a personal thing as I have a tendency to follow the music (moving to the count of getting pumped up during intense portions of songs) and I don’t seem to use my full concentration when I’m tiered. When I do, I listen to a bit of everything! Metal, pop, alternative, classical, rap, industrial, rock, techno, you name it; just whatever I’m into at that moment. Currently listening to Hollywood Undead, and I just finished with The Who; maybe a little Rob Thomas or Ozzy for my cool down. Its raining (which makes me sleepy) so today is a music day for sure.
