March is National Nutrition Month
This question is two-fold, please feel free answer either or both questions:
1) Are you doing anything special or implementing a new program to recognize nutritional health on a higher level either for your own life or for your clients/members?
2) I was starting to research implementing a nutritional program at my gym.
The first phase that I am in now is just simple assessment of my members interest in the program and how detailed of a program they would want.
What would be some important questions I could ask them to draw out whether they would take advantage of the program?
I did find the following article that was helpful to my own question, but wanted to get more ideas for assessing my members’ needs.

Lawrence, it’s great to hear you’re taking such a proactive approach with your members!
If I were in your position, I might ask them some (or all) of the following questions:
-What eating habit are you most proud of?
-What eating habit would you like to change for the better?
-Have you tried any “fad diets” in the past? If so, what do you remember about your experience with them?
-How many meals on average do you eat out each week?
-What do you typically eat for breakfast on a weekday? How about on a weekend?
-Without looking them up, can you name 10 fruits and 10 vegetables? If not, how many can you name off the top of your head?
-If you have children, what do you typically pack in their lunch box on school days?
-Who decides what’s for dinner at your house? If it’s more than just one person, how is the decision made?
Hopefully these questions can be put to good use on your members! If you’d like me to clarify why I chose these please let me know. I’d be happy to give you some insight (pun half-intended) into my thought process.
Best of luck to you helping improve the nutritional habits of your members!
