Looking for quality individual health insurance. Any suggestions?
Nicole,
I have TRICARE. It’s the insurance that the military uses, and if this an option for you, you should definitely, definitely look into it. TRICARE is the best insurance that I have EVER had, Ever.
Another insurance company that has earned a great reputation over the years is Blue Cross Blue Shield. They have a variety of different plans available, and the offer good coverage for an average rate (depending on your health of course).
I looked at your profile, and I see that you live in Pennsylvania. I have family in Patton, Johnstown, and Pittsburgh. You should consider the following link. You can click on your state to see the largest health insurance companies by state. Usually the larger the company, the smaller the premium. I trust this website.

These are just a few suggestions =)
Happy insurance hunting! =)
State Farm is my favorite as far as all major insurance goes. http://www.statefarm.com/ With my liability insurance I had to get to be a trainer I went though ACE and found Hoffman Insurance Services http://www.insurepersonaltrainers.com/personal/ace-studio-program.php
Hi Nicole. This is definitely an issue for those of us ‘on our own.’ Here’s how I answered a question similar to the one you pose here. I hope that this helps:
You may also want to check directly with health insurers in your State. Most offer individual insurance to sole proprietors, and other individuals. There are several options so be sure to ask the agent for everything that they offer to individuals and do some comparison shopping.
Good luck!
