I used to have a business in Florida. I went to a lawyer to draw up my risk/release form at that time. It cost me a couple hundred dollars, but it put the pressure of creating the form on the lawyers shoulders. In some ways it protected me from a portion of the liability as the lawyer would be partly responsible for how well the form protected me. If there were holes in the form, his liability insurance would be drawn into the process. Or at least that is how I understood it.
In any case it was more for my piece of mind than anything else. And I feel it was money well spent. That was more than 25 years ago. I would tell you to seek out a lawyer that handles business liability law and ask for an estimate of what such a form would cost you.
You could use a form off of your certifying organizations website for free. And hope it is accepted by your state. Or you could ask a lawyer to look at it first, probably for a little less money. But if it wasn’t a good form for Florida, you would be back to square one.
