I’m renting space at a Fit Body Boot Camp that just opened. I want to teach boxing to people who need to lose 50 pounds or more. We are both struggling to find clients. She has done everything Fit Body has told her and not much has happened. I’m using Groupon and want to target Weight Watchers if they let me. Any ideas on how to get more clients?
Hi Mary Ann,
I peeked at your profile but cannot tell where you are located or what your current offerings are….
Boxing can be a great, and specific, niche for people wanting to do something in addition to traditional bootcamp workouts. Can you expand your focus to include those who are not more than 50 pounds overweight? I think you may be narrowing your efforts too much at this point if you are just trying to get them in the door to try it. You could try rhe following ideas to help you get started:
–Offer a free class/Open house for free trial
–Offer a starter package special
–Bring a friend for free
–Social media such as your own website, FB, Instagram, etc…
–Tell all of your friends and family
–Make health connections in your city and pass out business cards when applicable
–Think about what you can offer that others cannot and make it your niche
Often times it is word of mouth that gets people to try something, so referrals are important. There is tremendous competition these days with regard to fitness facilities and classes, so make sure you have a solid plan and offer something that is not easily accessible elsewhere. I hope it works out for you–I am a big fan of boxing. 🙂
Best of luck to you,
