http://www.jacobsladderexercise.com/ What are your thoughts or experiences with the Jacobs Ladder. How have you implemented it into your or clients program design? Any ideas on what populations this would be good for?
This is the first time I’ve seen something like this. They claim it takes strain off of the lower back, which I buy, but I wonder about the strain on the knees. I also can’t help but think that this equipment is pretty limited as far as applying to a really wide range of lifestyles. I would also worry about motion sickness on this thing. I think some people may find the rungs of the ladder going by… and going by and going by as kind of monotonous and sickening after a while. I would worry a lot about clients that have excessive scapular winging on Jacob’s Ladder; I don’t think most people could keep up proper form for too long on this equipment. Nevertheless, I’d like to try this thing out and see what it’s all about! It looks kind of fun.
