CEC courses will stay in your account even after they expire, so you may always reference the information. We recommend taking a course within the same calendar year it was purchased to ensure you get credit before the course expires. If you have a course in your account that is set to expire, you will receive an email alerting you that the course will soon expire. If for some reason you are not able to complete a course before the expiration date, you may still petition to the certification agency for credit. An expired course does not mean an agency no longer accepts the course, but rather that IDEA has chosen not to renew the CEC’s for that year.
