Is there a link to give clients a demonstration of the exercise prescribed?
Hi Nicole,
There are over 6,000 exercise videos here http://www.ideafit.com/exercise-library that should work for you.
You may want to contact IDEA directly to ask that question. I’m not sure if they will be able to gain access to the website if they are not a member. Therefore, even if you linked to the exercise, they may not be able to view it. Also be careful about copying content from other sites. There can be copywrite issues with that.
Two sites I’ve used in the past to do the same are FitnessBuilder.com and PTontheNet. Both have websites and apps, so you can use them anywhere. Both allow you to create programs for clients, save client information and print out exercises, descriptions and even videos of how to execute the movements. You can also add and customize exercises. You can also add your business logo to the printed “homework” for clients.
Hope that helps,
Jocelyn
Hello Nicole Forgione,
You could also look on ACE’s site for the ACE Fit link for a free exercise library:
www.acefitness.org.
www.acefitness.org/acefit/fitness_programs_exercise_library
Take care.
Much like Jocelyn, I had a subscription to PTontheNET a few years back but I haven’t used it since then. From what I remember, there was a great selection of exercise demos that I could share with clients.
Nicole, were you planning on supplementing the home programs you write with videos, pictures, or both?
If you were going to use videos, have you considered taking the time to quickly film yourself performing the assigned program? Using this approach could add to the level of service you provide since each client would know for certain the video was created just for them. Also, videos of yourself are FREE compared to an annual membership of over $100 to something like PTontheNET. Food for thought“
Here’s a link (similar to Natalie’s) that should take you to ACE Fit’s page: http://www.acefitness.org/acefit/excercise-library/
The link above contains tons of exercise demos that can be easily accessed by anyone for free without a subscription. Feel free to let me know if I can help with anything I’ve mentioned.
