I took a look at their web site. It was a little hard, without buying the materials to see exactly what is covered. One thing that puzzled me is that it said you could do the certification in the context of one of their events, and those events seem to be less than a week long.

To put this in context, most yoga teachers today use the standards set by the yoga alliance, and attend some program that is accredited by the alliance. The first tier is the 200 hour. If you did your 200 hour teaching you could call yourself RYT (registered yoga teacher) 200 (having done a 200 hour training program). As you logged in teaching hours over a certain amount you could than have the letter E added. So the highest credential is ERYT-500 (500 hour training program/equivelant and 2,000 hours minimum teaching experience.

You can see that from a yoga perspective getting a certification in 3 or even 5 days seems puzzling.

I think if you want to add some yoga influences into your programs this might suit you. This organization certainly offers a lot of things, and they may be good. I find every training I have taken offers me something. And depending on your circumstances you might find this will work for you. If you want to teach in a yoga studio do recognize that you will be going up against teachers who are either on the registry, or have taught so long, and often trained in India, or with such senior teachers that they don’t need to go to the sizeable effort of getting on it.

Remember also that lineages in yoga differ, and a generic class that tries to lump it all together is not going to teach you enough to know which lineage best serves what you want to do.

If you are interested in injury prevention and restorative yoga I will make a suggestion that you look into some works by Gary Kraftsow. Even if you cannot find a Viniyoga training to do, you would find his books informative. He trained with the great Krishnamacharya himself, and is the founder of the Viniyoga school. He is a superb teacher, and his teacher training would absolutely equip you for this sort of yoga.
