it is generally recommended to fuel the body with carbohydrates before an activity like running. Eating that much protein could completely backfire on your intentions because the body and the brain need glucose for energy and may even break down muscle in an emergency process to get it.
There is a protein recommendation for the general public of .8 grams per kilogram of body weight. Even though it has been argues that this is too low, the general consensus is that 1.5 grams for an active exerciser is sufficient.
