In your experience, does healthcare/medicare/insurance pay for Personal Trainers?
I offer a 1 free session with people to broaden my possible scope of clients. At the end usually the only problem is the price. Do you know if some health insurance companies cover Personal Trainers? I’m fairly certain the demand for PT’s would go up as a whole if people had the option to pay with their medical insurance.
Many health insurers are offering this type of thing these days.
As competition gets more aggressive they are always looking for ways to differentiate themselves from each other and the whole health and wellness concept is very much a key focus for them as they want to be seen to look after your health.
A lot of them such as Vitality Health and Life in the UK offer this backed up by incentives for staying healthy and being able to prove it for example filling out questionnaires, etc. I think I read somewhere this really worked for them as it meant it attracted many of the fitter and healthier people to their company which obviously made a big difference to claims.
Some of the big International Health and Life Insurers are good for this as well as they are less limited in some cases in which ones you can use for example www.intl-medical-insurance.com
I would really suggest just shop around until you find one which works for you with the right network of personal trainers you want to deal with.
I suspect you may pay a premium for some of these however this will be up to you whether you are ok with this or not.
Good luck anyway
