In-home trainers, do you sell packages of sessions or a program (ex. 8wk or 12 wk program)?
ACE had an interesting article out about selling programs, like fitness challenges, as an option to selling individual sessions. I would love to hear from those who have done this and any tips/suggestions for putting together a successful program. I am also an ACE health coach and could incorporate that as well.
I train form a gym behind my house and treat things differently. I normally charge $30 an hour, so anyone coming once or twice a week gets charged that each session. Those that come at least 3 times a week, I knock the price to $25 an hour. Finally, I have a package that if someone commits to 3 times a week for 3 months (36 sessions) I knock my hourly down to $20. This ensures that I have people on a continuous basis! Now I am a retired detective so I have a pension and can keep my prices lower than the average, but you can adjust your prices accordingly!

Hi Christine,
I have always billed on a monthly basis, and that has worked well for me.
