I have found that the best outdoor instructors were both group fitness and personal training certified. Bootcamp style classes are not your average group fitness class. (Not that ‘average’ group fitness is the norm any more.) Participants do some serious resistance training in bootcamp classes these days depending on equipment used. Almost any cert will get you going. After that you need to focus on learning all you can about the type of movements and equipment you plan to use.
Hello D. Sey,
I like my ACE personal trainer and group fitness certifications; knowing how the body works makes me a better group instructor and the group instructor makes me a better personal trainer. I asked the gyms in my area which they prefer which helped me make a decision.
Yes, be sure to choose a NCCA certification.

You have many options for a group fitness certification as the others have already mentioned, but I would make sure the certification you choose is nationally recognized and holds high standards.
As a side note suggestion, an NCCA accredited personal trainer certification would pair really well with a group instructor certification. An understanding of anatomy, physiology and how the body moves would be beneficial for the small group classes such as bootcamps that you wish to teach. It will give you a better understanding of the body.
Best wishes to you,
