I have 4 fitness certifications including: ACE Gold Personal Trainer, ACE Lifestyle and Weight Management Coach, AFAA Group Exercise Instructor, AFAA Step Certified Instructor and Zumba Basic liscence, and have been certified since 1989. Additionally, I have 18 years experience in the healthcare field – 10 in Community Health and 8 in Cardiac Rehabiliation and have “earned my stripes” in the fitness and health fields. I’m currently exploring a new career path to encompass whole well-being. Thank-you in advance for your help.
I have been a credentially coach for over 5 years with the International Coach Federation.
After having taken the 200 hour Coach U training course, which took 2 years, I then applied for the Associate Certified Coach credential with ICF. Having passed that grueling review I attained my certification.
Here is what I see as problematic with Wellcoaches, unless they have changed their CEU policies, CEU are often not tranferrable without petitioning.
I do not recommend however going the route I went, as ICF is more alligned with corporate coaching.
I myself may consider Wellcoaches after I finish my Master’s. They have alot of respect in our industry.
So make sure you throughly understand the CEU policy at Wellcoaches and how to use IDEA Conference attendance for your education.
