this sounds like an extraordinary problem.
I looked at some information about the INBODY230 and saw that is based on electric bio-impedence to measure. One of the things about bio-impedance is that hydration needs to be proper for good results. Given how rarely somebody has a body-fat percentage that is too low, I am questioning whether a repeated measurement would get the same results.
Since the goal for the person is to gain weight and protein intake is usually based on weight x a factor of .8 to 1.5 depending on the circumstances, I would recommend increasing caloric intake from all other sources.
