If I’m becoming a self employed personal trainer which CPT is best?
I am starting to train other people mostly acquaintances. I’m looking to build credibility for my own business to do this full-time. I know the most valuable thing is my story that I lost a hundred and ten pounds eight years ago and I’ve kept it off. That’s actualay a mental thing mostly. My coaching will be mostly mental but I want the accreditation of being certified and having that going for me also. If I never intend to work at a gym which CPT is best? I looked into the Big 4 and it looks to me that in NCSM is the cheapest big name. As long as it’s the big 4 do you think it will serve my purposes? I’m getting all sorts of other training that apply to my work.
Hello Will Koen,
Congratulations. I suggest NCCA and the certification that speaks to you; forget about the cost. Remember that you will need to do CECs to keep your certification current. Here is a list to get you started.
