If i get a license to teach zumba, do i have to sell herbalife as well?
Hi Stephanie,
Simple answer – no. Just teach your class that you’re being paid for – that would be mandatory.

Hi Stephanie,
I find it very disturbing that that should be the case. I have never heard such a promotion. At the wellness center where I teach classes, you would probably be reprimanded for such a practice.

ABSOLUTELY NOT!
In fact, it is quite clear in our ZIN agreement that we are not allowed to use our status as ZIN to market, advertise, or sell any other product. So, for example, let’s say I teach Zumba and I also sell essential oils. My ZIN agreement forbids me from using my Zumba client list to peddle my oil sales.
There is a strategy that some Herbalife dealers have been using, to provide free Zumba classes at their Herbalife stores / facilities. So they are using Zumba as the “draw” to the place where they sell Herbalife. There are ways to do this that don’t breach a person’s ZIN agreement, such as the owner of the Herbalife facility paying a Zumba instructor to teach Zumba, and then having herbalife products available at the store.
If you see any advertisements or marketing materials that have the Zumba logo and the Herbalife logo on the same flier, you can report it to [email protected] That’s the portion of the legal department that handles license use violations.
