Ideas for holding independent fitness classes?
Hi Christy,
I’m not sure what city/state you are in, but how about the school system? I’m sure there are teachers who may be interested in taking a class at a convenient location. Also, check small businesses, spas, country clubs, places where moms take their kids for classes, and local athletic facilities. One local hockey rink near me has added fitness classes for the moms. So, there you have a few more ideas….
Hope these help and good luck!
Christine
I’d recommend partnering with an organisation that would benefit from their members/staff/parents etc taking part in the class.
Then negotiate a deal where you use their location for free / discount in exchange for discounted / free classes for their ‘people’ (who ever they are) as well as any of your customers.
I was running into the same problem when I first started out. Keep searching, some Dept of Rec centers will lend you their space. You always have the outdoors options too. After opening my studio, allowing outside trainers and instructors was one of my biggest priorities after going through this! Good luck and keep looking…
