I would like to purchase some software so that I can easily provide pictures for the clients.
The physigraphe system is quite good. You can either buy the cd rom clip art or sign up for a monthly fee to use online services. There may be other options too. The images are standardized and simple. I also like the stick figure method but with physigraphe you save workouts and email them to clients as well as print them out.
As in the earlier answer from Michael, I like and use www.bioexsystems.com – reliable customer service, too. They also have all administration management software I need, nutritional blocks I can purchase additionally, and the softwares talk to each other. I’d highly recommend these guys. Good luck!
Please don’t knock this until you try it. I have always found great success using stick figures as anatomic examples. You can draw them in any posture you wish and use action lines (ie. arrows) to dictate motion. It works ramarkably well with yoga, weight training, and aerobics. If you ever want some stick man drawing tips just let me know. I believe I have it down to an art/science by now. Save each of these in a paint file then just copy and paste as needed. I know you don’t want to draw it out but you only have to do it once, and you’ll save ink on your print outs.
Hi Susan. Are you asking about including your OWN photos or those from a canned program? If you own a digital camera, and can take your own exercise photos, then the easiest (and most cost-effective) way would be to simply download the photos to your computer and then insert them into your own Word document. You can then add your own instructions/notes. I use this method in things like my newsletter and it works great.
I hope that this helps.
