Hi Gene. Congratulations on having a consistent exercise program that you’re sticking with. I agree with both ‘sides’ of the posted answers here. I have to say that in my opinion the word ‘enough’ in your question is just like the word ‘best’ that has been posed in many, many questions on this forum. In my opinion, ENOUGH or BEST is always a relative term. Before you can adequately answer that question you need to know or answer the question “compared to what?” By that I mean that while what you’re currently doing may be great for overall general fitness, if you then told me your goal was to compete in a triathlon, or to compete in a power lifting competition, my answer would be “no.” So, to truly give you an accurate answer to your question, first ask yourself, “what are my goals?” Then once you’ve decided on that, ask your question above again.
As I ALWAYS tell my clients, “you can’t know if you’ve arrived somewhere unless you know where you’re going (what your destination is). Always decide on your goals FIRST and then decide how to get there 🙂
I hope that this helps.
