I have pt on the net and ideafit…do i really need both?
PTonthenet is a paid personal trainer community. They have great articles, but I mostly use it for their “create a program”. It allows me to choose from a huge variety of exercises or import my own, to write programs for my clients. It is a bit clunky to use, but it is the best I have found. (others simply did not have the variety of exercises I wanted). IDEA Fitness connect has given me more referrals than I can handle, and I enjoy the fitfeed and question and answer forum. I do believe IDEA is working on their own software to write training programs. If I am happy with that I would probably stop my PTonthenet subscription, but right now I use both sites. So Julio, it depends on your needs. If you value the PTonthenet articles and write programs for your clients, right now I would say keep both.
Hi Julio. Do you ‘need’ both? Maybe, maybe not. Only you can really discern that. If you use them both then you have your own answer. Each provides excellent resource materials (articles, exercise videos etc.). They are similar, but not duplicative. I like, and use both.

Hi Julio!
I wanted to leave a quick response for you as well, in addition to the great ones from other folks above. IDEA is a great resource for personal trainers, as is PTontheNet and each offers different educational and business tools for fitness professionals. I’m the Content Editor for PTontheNet, but I’m also involved in personal training a handful of clients and find that access to multiple resources is very beneficial.
Health & Happiness,
