Clarification: I am working with her on the standard body weight exercises, some dumbbell exercises (light weights), aerobic exercise, nutrition, weight loss, etc. and she’s doing very well. However, due to her lack of coordination, I am trying to incorporate new twists so she doesn’t get bored and continues to improve. Any ideas would be helpful! Thank you!
I like Paula’s answer. The stability of the machine could be a significantly positive motivation. Have her do lots of different upper and lower body resistance exercises, 12-14RM. As your client progresses, simply walking is a great next step. Straight, progressive deviation, backward with no line-of-sight, will all help to enhance coordination skills. When she’s able, if it’s an option, go for a bike ride.
