Clarification: I am working with her on the standard body weight exercises, some dumbbell exercises (light weights), aerobic exercise, nutrition, weight loss, etc. and she’s doing very well. However, due to her lack of coordination, I am trying to incorporate new twists so she doesn’t get bored and continues to improve. Any ideas would be helpful! Thank you!
I had her! Susan has the right idea. Don’t assume she can do anything and start at the infant level of instruction, demonstrating one element of a move at a time while discussing each part of that element and both what to do and not to do. Remember, it’s your job to communicate in a way that she can understand. If she doesn’t get it, it’s because you didn’t speak in her language and at her level. Meet her where she is and use patience and repetition.
