both have been using weight machines without incident but would like to change up their routine but every time I try to incorporate a new free weigh lower body exercise they don’t want to do it for fear it will hurt their knees. They are doing the leg press, leg curl, leg extension machines now and have no problems. Are there lower body free weight exercises that do not include, squats, lunges, steps???
I have a client in her late 60’s with a hip and knee replacement who is limited in what she can do. TRX Suspension training has made a big difference for her. She’s able to do squats and balance work as well as strengthen her core and entire body. She loves it and it enables her to do things she might otherwise not be able to do. We also do other types of functional training using med balls and stablitity balls.
