I got my Body composition Bod POD done, now what do I do with it?
Your bod pod session didn’t come with any counseling? Did it give you bodyfat percentage, total bodyfat and lean muscle calculations as well?
I agree with others that you should spend an hour with a dietitian and/or with a person trainer (different reasons). They can learn more about your goals and help you plan something specific and realistic.
I like that you’re lifting weights 3x a week.
Hi Greg,
I agree with the others. Consulting the right fitness and nutrition pros from the start will help you reach your goals much quicker. But for ballpark estimates of basil metabolic rate and total energy expenditure, I’ve always used the Harris – Benedict equation. Throw that into Google & you’ll find sites that have those calculators – it’s not an exact science, but it’ll give you a good idea. Good luck Greg!

Hi Greg,
Harris is really right. Spend an hour with a nutritionist and have them work with your trainer.
Since you are a newbie, you should honestly hire a trainer just for a session or two to get you going. It really does help. If nothing else, it’ll give you some different ideas on how to work and some parameters on weight, reps, time, etc..
