I don’t think it matters if your club is a non-profit since the liabilities and risks are still the same as for any other business similar to yours. But you can deduct the costs associated with this coverage.

Idea doesn’t actually provide insurance. As an IDEA member you have access to reduced rate insurance. To check it out and contact the insurance provider you:
Log in.
On your log in home page there is a long vertical rectangular box on the right hand side.
In that box there are small square boxes with various titles and symbols.
Click on the “umbrella”/Liability Insurance box.
Or you can click on “My Account”.
This will take you to an “Overview” page.
There is a line of tabs below the “Overview” heading.
The one furthest to the right is “My Membership”.
Clicking that will bring up another page with the square boxes.
You can click the “umbrella”/Liability Insurance box there as well.
