I am looking to further my education in exercise. I applied to University of Texas at Tyler’s Online Kinesiology Masters program
Has anyone ever attended this program? It seems pretty legit to me. Also, can anyone give me any direction as far as careers go for kinesiology v.s. exercise physiology? I did my bachelors in physiology and think what I really want to be doing is exercise physiology. I feel like kinesiology is tied in very closely to exercise science/exercise physiology that I will be fine sticking to the program I am applying to. Anyone have any insight?
From my experience being a life coach in Hawaii I’ve had a lot of my clients ask me similar questions on which direction they should take. What I’ve concluded Thomas is that you have to paint the picture for yourself and ask yourself the necessary questions. What is my goal? Who do I want to impact the most? What am I passionate about? Do I want to work for a business or be independent? This is a big step in your life so be sure to pick the degree that will most align with what you desire.
Hello! My friend attends Tyler’s Online Kinesiology Masters program, and he will be more than glad to help you. I will share this post with him. He is writing physiology essays and have a great experience in this field. So in case you will need any help with your study, my friend will be happy to assist you.
I need to know which would be a better pick career-wise. A bachelor’s degree in physical education or a bachelor’s degree in exercise science. https://appdevelopmenttexas.net/
I am not very familiar with the program, so I will defer to others as far as that goes. If my memory serves me correctly, I thought that this program was delivered online, but you had to be “attending” the classes at the same times as the on-site students. So, you can’t just do the work on your own schedule. Don’t take my word for this and make sure you check it out.
Kinesiology and Exercise Science are often used interchangeably. Likewise with Exercise Physiology and Exercise Science. In the case of the program I graduated from, Kinesiology was the department that included Exercise Science, Athletic Training, etc.
For this reason, the question of careers in Kinesiology versus Exercise Physiology is a tough one because they are often a very similar degree, or one is a department that contains the other. You can likely find many sites that describe careers in these areas with a Google search, or even on this site.
All the best,
Steve
I am not familiar with the texas program either. When I studied Physical Education at UW LaCrosse, my studies were heavy in anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, bio-mechanics, and the science of human movement. UWL doesnuch of the research for ACE. As alum, I do recommend that you check out their online Masters programs.
