I am getting my Bachelors degree in Health IT and I am interested in a career in the personal training field. Any suggestions?
I will graduate in May, 2016 from Miami University, Ohio. My degree is a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Information Technology with a minor in Biological Science. I am interested in the use of IT in the personal training or preventive health fields and if there is a career path to take for this.
It will be interesting advice for me too, as I am still a student in the field of health care. I am graduating soon, I would like to have some idea. Since I love sports and have been doing them for quite a long time professionally, I would like to become an athletics trainer. So far I am working in the service https://uk.edubirdie.com/article-review to provide qualified help in writing reviews of articles. This service guarantees that the work will be done in a short time. I like the work, but I would like to work in a specialty, because a lot of time and effort to study, which also brings great pleasure.
Hello William Crawford,
Sure, why not? People are coming up with new careers all the time. Do your best at what you love and let things take their course. Don’t know until you try, right? Health fits in with everything; without our health, what are we able to accomplish?
Take care,

Great degree! I would suggest getting a certification that works specially with what you want to do
I agree with Martin
If you want to teach group or only do personal training there is a certification for you
ALSO Health Coaching is something to think about doing, you may be able to use your degree with it.
You might also want to consider the area of studying, researching and analyzing the human body and how it moves into the different planes are the main focus. There many ways where you can make personal training better by coming up with a new IT program or improving existing ones, but personally I believe the money is in the research area. Either way I wish you the best.
