I am a PhD learner working on a dissertation about modern computer technology and exercise adherence to in-home programs.
Students tend to be a captured audience for graduate studies. Perhaps, you need to find out if your U has a wellness program in place, and then see if it contains on-line coaching. Many corporate and university programs have on-line coaching as part of the package.
You may be able to get aggregate reports, and certainly you can research the numerous studies that show the efficacy of on-line coaching vs. no coaching for behavioral change.
Hi Jocelyn,
I am doing a doctoral dissertation on The Effects of Web-Based Coaching on the Exercise Adherence of Older adults to In-Home Programs. My question is how would you recommend I recruit participants for this study based on your knowledge of the industry. In addition, would you recommend that I contact current web-based programs to see if they would be able to provide data or participants. Currently I am examining the legalities and ethics of recruitment and if you need more information about the purpose and research for the study I could provide this to you.
Thanks for your time.
