I would recommend that you work on developing your athletic skills as much as possible before beginning participation in any sport. Have you worked on speed and agility? Have you started resistance training? Start small and progress carefully. Even young and fit people should get physicians clearance for changing activity levels. Outside of these things, I would recommend hiring an instructor/coach. Without being there to guide you, I can’t offer more than the basic information.

You, your parents/guardians and coaches will decide which position suits you best. I hope you are able to play the position you desire most; that would be my first choice. Go with what you enjoy. Then I would want to try all the positions; because, you just never know until you try.
