How to schedule weight training, cardio and yoga in a weekly workout
Am 44 years old. Want to improve my endurance and stamina. Was doing regular weight training and cardio till a year back. Last one year did mostly yoga. Now i wish to start weight training and cardio again to improve stamina and endurance. Also dont wish to loose benefits of yoga. Hence looking for a workout plan combining these three during every week. I can spend an hour every day.
Hello Manoj, I like your plan of a combination workout. I would like to add some ideas. You can add in your core to whichever muscle group you are strength training. This can be done with full body movements. For example if you are working your chest you can do burpees(pushup then squat up) or dips in the captains chair or similar set up also use the chest and core. I also like those machines where you do a sit up and shoot a basketball with each rep. The reason for adding in the core is that it recovers faster than the other muscle groups, it will make your whole body stronger, and you will get faster results for any goal. For yoga and strength training make sure you get front to back exercises, side exercises and stretches, sometimes diagonal and don’t forget rotation when you are ready for it. Allow your self lots of flexibility and variety to make your workout interesting.
