How to get knots out of back
Hi Ryan,
I suggest that you check out the MELT method. When I teach MELT classes, I usually start with what I call ‘a communal back rub’, and the result is a groan of relief across the room. You can find information about this method now in a book which just released and has the catchy title ‘The MELT Method’.
Hope this helps.

Hello Ryan,
These are all good suggestions.
I am curious to know what type of work do you do? Do you stop to stretch during the day. There might be some flexibility exercises you can do during the day to decrease the tension you are accumulating in your back when you feel it progressing.
Likely you have already done this, however, sometimes the old-fashioned stuff really works well. Have you ever just pampered yourself by having a hot bath every now and then?
This might prove to be helpful until you can utilize other approaches.
Hello Ryan Rogers,
What kind of work do you do? (Haha, I just saw that Joanne asks the same question.) You could be working in a harmful way.
What helps me is to stretch before work and after work. If there is a chance, I would also stretch the problem area during my shift.
You also want to make sure to remain strong as well as flexible.
Checking that your diet is proper will help you heal, also.
I hope you feel better.
Take care.
I love using my GRID and my client love it also. It is a product that is a foam roll. Very easy to use and is like getting a massage for your back. You can find how to use it with TriggerPoint Therapy DVD’s. It is amazing. My triathletes, desk jockies and everyone in between uses them and all have had nothing but great things to say.
good Luck
