Hi Beverly. Congratulations! In my opinion the best place to start would be to create a resume built around the ‘skills and knowledge’ required for a personal trainer, since you do not yet have the experience. Take a look at some job descriptions and even ACE’s information on Personal Training and then take a critical look at the skills and knowledge that you bring to the table. Relate any past work experience you have that might be used such as your communication skills etc.
Of course include your direct Personal Training education/certification and any experience you may have in training (even if it’s just your own training and gym experience), and lastly I would note your passion for the industry (assuming you have it 🙂 and willingness to continue to learn (a big plus in our industry).
