Hi fellow trainers! I am fortunate to live in an apartment building with a huge studio I can use to hold fitness classes — without being charged by the building management. That said, I was approached by a resident in my building who said she can round up about 10 other women to take a group fitness class with me for about 55 minutes. Okay, great…what would I charge? $10 a class? The number of women would vary from class to class, I imagine, and I’d do this 2 to 3 times a week. Any guidance would be helpful. They’re looking for core strengthening peppered with a bit of aerobics and strengthening, all of which I can do. Thanks for any advice on price. /Jayne
$10/person/class seems reasonable to me. Of course you can add that in order for them to get that price they need to have at least and X number of people in each class. You don’t want to leave the price at $10 and then only 1-3 people show up. I would suggest to ask that group to pay you in advance for at least 10-12 classes, so your time and income would be guaranteed (at least for that month or that number of people). Up to you.
