I am very slow to provide any type of information without being able to confirm that the client is using the information properly.
In a case like this, I would attempt to find a train living closer to the client to refer to them.
If that is not an option, I would try to utilize some type of video link. Like Skype, but even that makes me uncomfortable. How can I help them if they have a medical emergency? Or if they get injured accidentally?
So far, for me personally, the referral has always worked.
I charge for a double session and the client gets a complete fitness profile. I don’t like doing a single session because I have to rush through assessments. The whole process takes about an hour and a half and then I spend another half hour constructing the program. If it takes a little less, well good for me, I was a bit more on it that day; sometimes its a bit more. I pretty much won’t charge for a plan and no encounter. To much unknown for me to thoroughly commit with the utmost confidence.
For a one time plan I would charge by the hour, I suggest this because even after a complete assessment and consult you then need to actually figure out the program which can be time consuming in itself or possibly figure out a time scale, such as 90 minutes for $175.
You may want to think about a series of services that you provide such as a one time plan with two follow ups for a price of?
