how much coverage is offered?
Hi Alley. It’s probably best if you contact a variety of liability insurance carriers directly to ask about their various coverages There are many different types of coverages for personal trainers (for example for general personal training, for selling products, for writing, for specialty classes etc.), with a variety of coverage amounts. The best source for this information is the insurance carriers themselves.
IDEA Fit has a link to an insurance carrier, and you can also find others by conducting a internet search, and by contacting whatever organization issued your personal training certificate for whatever insurer they endorse to their membership.
I hope that this helps.

Hi Alley,
just one comment to add to LaRue’s: you only need your own professional liability insurance if you have your own business as a trainer (that would also be the case if you work at a club as an independent contractor). If you work FOR a club, then you will be covered under their insurance policy.
