How many rest days should i have a week
so my schedule atm is Monday morning 5 k run Monday night – legs and abbs , Tuesday morning spin and Tuesday night dance class( conditioning) Wednesday morning rest morning Wednesday night ( whole body workout muscle class – heavy weights) Thursday morning – HIIT and abb workouts, an Thursday night – dancing ( chorey) Friday morning – weights arms and abbs and then a run , Saturday rest day and sunday usually a long run and pilates.. should I cut down , cause I know rest is important in bulding muscle and seeing results, im not trying to gain huge muscles either.. and im also a dancer so I need to keep fit as/
This question is probably more in-depth than what can be answered on here. A few of the many missing details here:
Your age, training history, your goals, progress that you’ve been making, and what these workouts actually entail.
If you have been making progress, don’t feel run down, and you haven’t been experiencing pain or injuries from training, then you might be fine. This really depends on the individual, so keep track of how you feel from week to week. If you find yourself losing enthusiasm for training, then you might be overdoing it. I would recommend taking a week off of structured training every so often. Some people prefer 4-6 weeks, while others prefer longer. In any case, cut your workouts short, or take a few days off during this recovery period.
