We are instructors, not participants! I was trained to teach with my voice, my “teacher” made me stand perfectly still and give verbal cues (5 words or less) so that I could “teach” under any circumstances.
I’m not saying to do this but I am saying that we are not required to do every single move we teach.
When you are teaching a lot of classes use this as an opportunity to bring new research or ideas to your class as they “work out”, inspire your class by using a participant as an example.
There are no industry guidelines for this question, it’s entirely a personal choice.
