How does one decrease body fat percentage using less weight?
I recently changed my routine from a traditional resistance routine to one that included solely TRX (body weight suspension training). There has been a 2% increase in my body fat. Why is this the case? The TRX routine is not as cardio intense (i did a circuit regimen before) but it certainly is hard. How do I ensure a decrease in bodyfat with this regimen. I still have two months to go. Of note, my meals have been monitored and I have not gained any significant weight (fluctuate 2-4 pounds).
Hi Abdelrahim,
I would add a couple of days of running 2-4 miles (preferably in the morning and before you have anything to eat). If you can run this distance right now, add a third day of running and focus on the time rather than the distance (for now). Try to keep improving your time, meaning run faster if you can. This will help you burn more calories and decrease your BF as well. Try to run on as many different types of surfaces as you can (hills, sand, grass, etc.). Also you could add some stairs as well into your running distances. Adding some pull-ups and burpees either during, before and/or after each run would be very effective as well.
I hope this helps.
Best,
Harris
