How does knowing the current fitness level of a client assist in developing exercise programs

Hey Troy, I agree with everybody else. I’ll only add that, being an older dude that has experienced age/occupational wear and tear, I find those initial fitness assessments to be monumental in determining unknown existing or potential issues that will dictate routine development; especially with older and active clients.
Hi Troy. In my opinion it’s important for several reasons, but one of the most important is for ‘safe progression.’ Exercise programming is all about PROGRESSION. Without it, the client plateaus and makes no real progress. In order to plan a progressive exercise plan or program, you MUST know where your client”s current or existing level is. It’s that simple.
